We have that answer! The Gardall data and media safe EDS-1210-G-EK is designed just for the protection of electronic and computer media. Why does it need to be treated differently for fire protection than paper? Computer media loses it's information at a much lower temperature than a fire safe provides.
This computer media protection safe protects home and office computer back-Ups, digital pictures, DVD's, video tapes and other important media.
You will note in the picture of this electronic media protection safe that there are an inner and outer door. The outer door protects against the actual fire, the inner door provides additional heat protection as well as moisture protection. (As you know, computer media does not do well in high moisture situations).
The safe door on this computer media protection safe is controlled by an electronic lock that makes access simple and easy. There is also a day lock, controlled by a key, for access during working times. The door is also equipped with 3-way bolt work on the top, side and bottom. This adds an excellent dimension of theft protection.
If you store important information on back up discs, you will need an electronic media protection safe to assure those important discs are around after the fire.
