This well-designed 20.72 cubic foot wide gun safe's roomy interior offers a variety of features. Its elegant non-boxy appearance belies the fact that it can house 49 of your long guns, jewelry, documents and other important papers. Dimensions of this spacious safe are 60 inches H x 44 inches W x 26 inches D and it weighs 1105 pounds. Make sure to add 2" to the depth for the handle, lock and hinges.

The cam lock and multiple diversion bar structure of the M49's Uni-Force Locking System is designed to keep thieves from being able to use bolt or lock pressure to reach the lock.
Made up of a hard steel plate and other steel workings that keep the safe from being drilled open or being subjected to punch attacks, the OmniBarrier Lock Protection System is a major deterrent to theft.
The Medallion M49's body thickness is of 10 gauge steel, and it weighs 1,105 pounds. The weight alone is a security feature.
It has 4-sided locking bolts on the top, bottom, right and left. (18 total bolts)
The door of the Medallion M49 is 1-11/16" Duo-Formed.
There are Pry-Stop Corner Bolts on two of the outside corners of the Medallion M49 that are designed to keep the safe from being easily pried open.

Fire Rating

The Medallion M49 features the impressive ThermaBlock protection from fire. ThermaBlock consists of sheets of fire insulation that are heavier. These sheets are interlaced into an interlocking design designed to diminish gaps that would allow the temperature inside the safe to heighten during a fire.

This gun safe's heavy steel gauge is only minimally flexible when it is heated, thus the distortions that might let in heat through the door frame and through broken weld gaps are limited. Browning's continuous welding (rather than spot welding) adds to the M49's ability to resist fire damage.

The M49's impressive fire rating is 110 minutes at up to 1,700 degrees F. This gun safe has four layers of one-half inch fire-resistant insulation in the safe's body and five layers of this insulation in the ceiling to protect your guns in case of fire.

Small Package Delivery (150 lbs. and Under)

Small package delivery is a free service offered by Safe & Vault Store. All packages under 150 pounds are delivered to your home or business front door via UPS or FedEx during normal business hours. There is no advance appointment call made. No signature is required.

Changing Your Address

Additional fees may apply if you need to change your address after your order has shipped. Please note that changing the address with FedEx is not guaranteed. You can create a FedEx Delivery Manager account, which allows you to change the shipping method to a FedEx Hold Location (ex: local Walgreens).

Curbside Delivery (Over 150 lbs.)

Curbside delivery is a free service offered by Safe & Vault Store. Any shipments 151 pounds or larger shipments are delivered curbside via freight companies such as YRC, XPO, USF Reddaway, or other common freight carriers. The safes and vault doors are delivered on a wood pallet, curbside, where your driveway meets the street. The freight company will call to schedule an appointment within an 8-hour window. Freight companies will not deliver to a "dead end" street or Cul De Sac. Please see our Fedex Freight Direct Basic for additional options.

Depending on the indicated lead time on your order, you will receive an email notifying you that your item has shipped with your tracking number.
After your item has shipped and arrived at your local terminal, the freight company will call you to schedule the delivery date.
The freight company will schedule a delivery appointment with you for the day of delivery only.
Freight companies will deliver between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday only.Because Mondays are heavy commercial delivery days, some terminals will avoid scheduling residential deliveries on Mondays. If you require a shorter time window, please see our Fedex Freight Direct Basic delivery options (2-hour window available).
You must be present or have someone inspect and sign for the product. There are no exceptions to this requirement.
If the packaging is damaged even slightly, note the damage on the receipt you receive and sign from the delivery staff. IMPORTANT NOTE: This is the only way to file a damage claim for a refund from the freight company and/or a replacement if your safe or vault door is damaged.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The delivery staff will not take your safe or vault door any further than curbside if this is the service you order. Freight companies will not deliver to your driveway on a dead-end road or Cul de Sac. They will only deliver to County, City, or State roads. They will not deliver to a congested downtown area without parking or a Doorman Condo or Apartment. Garage/Threshold Delivery or White Glove Inside Delivery are available for an extra charge if you need special delivery services. Garage Delivery Requirements:

Please read these requirements before placing your order:

Access to an ‘overhead’ garage door is required and must be over pavement or concrete, no more than a 2% grade.
Excessively steep or long driveways are not included in this service; if this is your case, see Inside Delivery delivery options.
Drivers will not back the truck onto your driveway.
The driver may require help to push the product into your garage.
The driver will not remove the safe from the pallet.

Garage delivery is not guaranteed. It is not always available in all areas and is ultimately at the driver's discretion to complete. If the driver feels unsafe, the freight company will not be able to complete the garage delivery and will leave the safe at your curbside. We will refund you in full for the garage delivery if it cannot be completed. Our trucks with liftgates can only handle safes up to 2000 pounds. Safes over 2000 pounds require a forklift or loading dock on site to receive them. If you do not have either of these items, we can recommend a company in your local area that can deliver your safe inside.
