This tall and wide 25.32 cubic foot gun safe's roomy interior houses as many as 49 of your long guns, jewelry, documents, and other important papers. It is extra tall, offering 66 inches of internal height, so you can store extra-long rifles such as the .50 caliber long-range rifle inside. Its dimensions are 72 inches H x 44 inches x W 26 inches D and it weighs 1255 pounds.

The Medallion M49T features:

Security for your guns and other valuables

  1. To keep thieves from being able to reach the lock to use bolt or lock pressure to get into this secure gun safe, the M49T has a Uni-Force Locking cam lock and multiple diversion bar system.
  2. The M49T's OmniBarrier Lock Protection System is constructed out of a hard steel plate and other steel workings that keep the safe immune from being drilled open or being the victim of punch attacks.
  3. The Medallion M49T has a thick 10 gauge steel body and it weighs 1,255 pounds. The weight alone is a security feature and a theft deterrent.
  4. It has 4-sided locking bolts on the top, bottom, right, and left. (26 bolts)
  5. The door of the Medallion M49T is 1 11/16" Duo-Formed.
  6. On two of the outside corners of the Medallion M49T, there are Pry-Stop Corner Bolts designed to keep the safe from being easily pried open.

Fire Rating

The Medallion M49T features innovative technology in the form of ThermaBlock that functions to protect your gun safe from fire. ThermaBlock contains sheets of fire insulation that are heavier than those used in many other brands of gun safes. These sheets are intertwined into an interlocking design that functions to diminish gaps that would allow the temperature inside the safe to rise during a fire.

This gun safe's heavy-gauge steel construction is barely flexible when it is heated,. This means that the flexion that might let in heat through the door frame and through broken weld gaps is extremely limited. Browning offers continuous welding (rather than spot welding) which increases the M49T's ability to resist fire damage to your guns.

The M49T has an impressive fire rating of 110 minutes at up to 1,700 degrees F. This gun safe has four layers of one-half inch fire-resistant insulation in the safe's body and five layers of this insulation in the ceiling to protect your guns in case of fire.

Please read all information on the type of delivery options you have for your order. The delivery of large safes is a very sensitive operation, and we supply this information to ensure you receive the product you ordered in the best condition possible for your delivery circumstance.

Types of Delivery Services (click the links below to skip to each section):

Small Package Delivery (150 lbs. and Under)

Small package delivery is a free service offered by Safe & Vault Store. All packages under 150 pounds are delivered to your home or business front door via UPS or FedEx during normal business hours. There is no advance appointment call made. No signature is required.

Changing Your Address

Additional fees may apply if you need to change your address after your order has shipped. Please note that changing the address with FedEx is not guaranteed. You can create a FedEx Delivery Manager account, which allows you to change the shipping method to a FedEx Hold Location (ex: local Walgreens).

Curbside Delivery (Over 150 lbs.)

Curbside delivery is a free service offered by Safe & Vault Store. Any shipments 151 pounds or larger shipments are delivered curbside via freight companies such as YRC, XPO, USF Reddaway, or other common freight carriers. The safes and vault doors are delivered on a wood pallet, curbside, where your driveway meets the street. The freight company will call to schedule an appointment within an 8-hour window.   • Freight companies will not deliver to a "dead end" street or Cul De Sac. Please see our Fedex Freight Direct Basic for additional options.
  • Remote areas require additional fees from the freight company. Please see our Fedex Freight Direct Basic for additional options.
  • “Limited access” locations will require additional fees from the Freight Company. Please see our Fedex Freight Direct Basic for additional options.
  • Some zip codes, including ferry points, are considered beyond service points from the servicing center and may result in additional charges. Please see our Fedex Freight Direct Basic for additional options.

  1. Depending on the indicated lead time on your order, you will receive an email notifying you that your item has shipped with your tracking number.
  2. After your item has shipped and arrived at your local terminal, the freight company will call you to schedule the delivery date. 
  3. The freight company will schedule a delivery appointment with you for the day of delivery only.
  4. Freight companies will deliver between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday only.Because Mondays are heavy commercial delivery days, some terminals will avoid scheduling residential deliveries on Mondays. If you require a shorter time window, please see our Fedex Freight Direct Basic delivery options (2-hour window available).
  5. You must be present or have someone inspect and sign for the product. There are no exceptions to this requirement.
  6. If the packaging is damaged even slightly, note the damage on the receipt you receive and sign from the delivery staff. IMPORTANT NOTE: This is the only way to file a damage claim for a refund from the freight company and/or a replacement if your safe or vault door is damaged.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The delivery staff will not take your safe or vault door any further than curbside if this is the service you order. Freight companies will not deliver to your driveway on a dead-end road or Cul de Sac. They will only deliver to County, City, or State roads. They will not deliver to a congested downtown area without parking or a Doorman Condo or Apartment. Garage/Threshold Delivery or White Glove Inside Delivery are available for an extra charge if you need special delivery services. Please call 800-207-2259 for other delivery options if any of these cases apply to you.

Garage Delivery Requirements:

Please read these requirements before placing your order:

  • Access to an ‘overhead’ garage door is required and must be over pavement or concrete, no more than a 2% grade.
  • Excessively steep or long driveways are not included in this service; if this is your case, see Inside Delivery delivery options.
  • Drivers will not back the truck onto your driveway.
  • The driver may require help to push the product into your garage.
  • The driver will not remove the safe from the pallet.

Garage delivery is not guaranteed. It is not always available in all areas and is ultimately at the driver's discretion to complete. If the driver feels unsafe, the freight company will not be able to complete the garage delivery and will leave the safe at your curbside. We will refund you in full for the garage delivery if it cannot be completed. If you want to order garage delivery and are concerned that you might not meet the requirements, please call us at 800-207-2259 so we can determine the best option.

Safes Over 2000 lbs.

Our trucks with liftgates can only handle safes up to 2000 pounds. Safes over 2000 pounds require a forklift or loading dock on site to receive them. If you do not have either of these items, we can recommend a company in your local area that can deliver your safe inside.
