The HS40, also known as the T402020S-ESR, is the largest size in the series by Tracker Safe. It is the perfect home security safe to protect your handguns and pistols (between 6-12 depending on size) as well as important documents and valuables. You could even take all the shelves out and store rifles inside. With 4.80 cubic feet of interior space, it has just the right amount of room inside without taking up a large amount of space in your home.
The fire rating on the Tracker Safe HS40 is a 60-minute fire rating, tested at temperatures up to 1200 degrees F. Other features include a heat-activated door seal that expands up to 5 times its thickness. There are two layers of fireboard insulation in the body, walls, floor, and ceiling as well as three layers of fireboard insulation in the door. This is your assurance that your items will be protected from a fire.
The security features on the Tracker Safe HS40 (T402020S-ESR) include a 5" thick composite steel door with 12 gauge steel, 6 - 1" diameter steel locking bolts, a relocker pin equipped to protect against lock tampering, and a drill resistant hardplate to protect the lock against drill attacks. This home security safe also includes a 12 gauge steel body as well. We highly recommend that you use the 2 pre-drilled anchor holes on the bottom of the safe for anchoring to the floor. Mounting hardware is included for concrete. We also include a FREE UL Listed Type 1 Securam Digital Electronic Lock as a standard feature which is typically a $125.00 value. Or you can select a dial combination lock if you prefer.
The inside of this safe is just as good as the security and fire features. Gray carpeted interior, 3 adjustable shelves come standard. The outside is painted a gray textured powder coat finish and there is a chrome-plated single spoke handle. Two external hinges make it difficult to pry the door open, preventing pry attacks. You can also open the door a full 200 degrees, unlike safes that feature internal hinges.
